What it does
Three ways into motion
Every wallpaper starts somewhere — a sentence, a photograph, or a clip you already shot.

Text to video
Write a line — “ink dissolving in still water, slow, monochrome” — and watch it become a loop sized for your lock screen.

Image to video
Pick a photo, describe the movement you want, and the still becomes a drifting scene. The photo stays yours; it is never analysed for faces.

Video to Live Photo
Trim any clip from your library and export a real Live Photo. This one happens entirely on your iPhone — nothing is uploaded.
How it works
Four steps, no craft required
The app is deliberately small. You choose a starting point, wait a moment, and set it as your wallpaper.

Type a prompt, or pick an image from your library. Aspect ratio defaults to your phone's screen.

Let it generate
Generation runs in the cloud and costs credits. You can leave the screen — progress waits for you under My Creations.

Trim and export
Crop, shorten, pick a cover frame, then export as a video, a Live Photo, or a still.
- 04
Keep it or share it
Set it as your wallpaper, or publish it to the community gallery so other people can remix it. Publishing is always your choice.
Privacy
Your photos are material, not data to mine
inkWallpaper does not run face detection or facial recognition. It does not build faceprints, face templates, face embeddings or any other biometric identifier — not for identification, not for verification, not for training.
A photo you upload is one thing only: the first frame of the wallpaper you asked for.
No face data, at all
No Vision, ARKit, TrueDepth or third-party face SDK is used anywhere in the app or on our servers.
Deleted after 30 days
Uploaded photos and generated results are erased automatically 30 days after they are created — sooner if you delete them yourself.
Yours to remove
Delete any single item from My Creations, or delete your whole account from inside the app. Account deletion erases everything.

Before you ask
Does inkWallpaper collect face data?
No. The app never performs face detection, face recognition, face matching or face tracking, and it never derives faceprints, facial geometry or any other biometric identifier. Photos you upload may happen to contain a face, but they are handled as ordinary images and are never analysed for facial features.
What happens to a photo I upload?
It is stored in our private cloud storage, checked once by an automated safety filter, and sent to the AI provider that generates your video. It is deleted automatically 30 days later, or immediately when you delete it or your account.
Why does the app ask for Photos access?
So you can pick a picture or a clip to animate, and so exported wallpapers can be saved back to your library. inkWallpaper only ever opens the specific items you select.
Do I need an account?
You can browse and download the built-in wallpapers without signing in. Signing in with Apple is required only to generate wallpapers with AI, because generation consumes credits tied to your account.
How do credits work?
Credits are bought as a one-time in-app purchase and spent per generation. If a generation fails, its credits are refunded to your balance automatically.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — inside the app, under Me → Account Management → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, uploads, generated media, published wallpapers and remaining credits are all erased.
